Bob Schmuhl’s Fifty Years with Father Hesburgh is a finalist for the 2016 Foreword INDIES book of the Year Award in the Adult Nonfiction, Biography category. The winners will be announced during the American Library Association conference, June 22-27, 2017, in Chicago. Foreword’s Book of the Year Awards were established to bring increased attention from librarians and booksellers to the literary achievements of independent publishers and their authors. The awards are unique because they ask a jury of readers, librarians, and booksellers to select their top categories as well as choose the winning titles.
