Lori Loftis joined the University of Notre Dame in 2011 and is the Assistant Director of the Institute for Scholarship in the Liberal Arts (ISLA) in the College of Arts and Letters. In this role, Lori assists faculty and staff in the Social Sciences with proposal preparation and submission. She also coordinates a regular faculty grant-writing seminar and workshop. Before joining Notre Dame, Lori spent 13 years as a research project supervisor at the University of Chicago. She received her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and master’s degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
