Call for Papers

Medieval Studies Undergraduate Colloquium 2022

This spring, the Medieval Institute at the University of Notre Dame is pleased to reconstitute its annual undergraduate colloquium, showcasing exceptional papers on medieval topics from the University of Notre Dame’s undergraduate medievalist community. This year’s colloquium will take place on Thursday, April 7th at 6:00pm in the Main Reading Room of the Medieval Institute.

We would like to invite submissions for presentations between 15 and 20 minutes in length on any medieval topic, though papers on women in the Middle Ages are particularly welcome. These can be papers previously submitted over the course of your studies which will be re-worked for oral delivery or proposals for a new paper. Interested students are asked to submit an abstract of 300 words or less to the Director of Undergraduate Studies for the Medieval Institute (cmille34@nd.edu) by February 25, 2022. For those papers that are selected, optional workshops will be offered in advance of the colloquium to assist in the process of shaping an academic paper for presentation.

Please refer any questions to Dr. Christopher Liebtag Miller, Medieval Studies DUS: cmille34@nd.edu.
