University of Notre Dame alumna and Christiana Care Center Chief of Geriatric Medicine Dr. Patricia Curtin White was the winner of the national Outstanding Public Service award from the Jefferson Foundation for her humanitarian work with the Notre Dame Haiti Program.
As the most prestigious and longest standing public service award in America, the Jefferson Foundation Award is considered the gold seal of public service. Dr. Curtin White was honored for her leadership of more than 10 medical mission trips to Haiti, where she and her team set up mobile clinics and treat upwards of 100 patients a day. She was presented with her award at the Jefferson Foundation National Ceremony in Washington D.C on June 16, 2016.
Dr. Patricia Curtin White graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1980, with a B.S. in biology.
