Twenty-four students have been awarded summer 2022 undergraduate research fellowships with Notre Dame Nanoscience and Technology (NDnano). They will conduct their research under the guidance of NDnano affiliated faculty in the College of Engineering and College of Science.

Pictured below, the students participating in the 10-week, on-campus experience will work on a wide range of projects. They attend several universities, including Johns Hopkins University, Michigan Technological University, Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, Notre Dame, Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico, Saint Mary’s College, University of Puerto Rico-Mayagüez, and Villanova University. Funding for the students is provided by NDnano, the Woodward Family Endowment for Excellence in NDnano Undergraduate Research, and other faculty grants and funds.

Alongside the student researchers from other Notre Dame summer programs, the NDnano students will participate in the July 20 Summer Research Symposium at Jordan Hall. Leading up to the Symposium, students can take advantage of several seminars and facility tours to expand their knowledge and skill base. A host of social events are also planned for the summer researchers.
