The University of Notre Dame’s Eck Institute for Global Health, led by Director and Professor of Biological Sciences Bernard Nahlen, serves as a University-wide enterprise that recognizes health as a fundamental human right and works to promote research, training, and service to advance health standards and reduce health disparities for all. The Eck Institute brings together multidisciplinary teams to understand and address health challenges that disproportionately affect the poor and to train the next generation of global health leaders.

"Notre Dame has a long history of excellence in research that is relevant to global health,” said Dr. Nahlen. “As Director of  the Eck institute for Global Health, I am honored to work with such impressive and dedicated faculty and students to realize our common vision of a healthier world for all."
