Faculty are invited to apply for the annual Equipment Restoration and Renewal (ERR) grant program, which is part of Notre Dame Research’s internal grant program. ERR grants assist with the restoration, replacement, and renewal of instruments and facilities needed for faculty research, scholarship, and creative endeavor. Proposals that complement current or recent efforts to secure equipment funding from external sources are encouraged.

Speaking about the available opportunity, Patricia L. Clark, associate vice president for research, Rev. John Cardinal Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry, and director of the Biophysics Instrumentation Core Facility, said, “We in NDR are grateful to again be able to offer this opportunity for funding for these critical items that support research throughout the Colleges and Schools. I strongly encourage faculty to explore our website for more information and consider submitting an application if their laboratory, facility, or studio would benefit from this support.”

All full-time Notre Dame faculty members, including tenure and tenure track faculty, teaching and research faculty, library faculty, and professors of the practice, who have not received an award as the lead principal investigator of a funded project under this program in the last five years may submit a proposal. Applications are due by 5 p.m. Eastern on Monday, March 14, 2022.
