On Financial Security Day, May 2, 2016, Robert J. Bernhard, Vice President for Research, provided Sarah Bloom Raskin, Deputy Secretary for the United States Department of the Treasury, with a tour of Innovation Park at Notre Dame.
See photos from Raskin’s visit below.
Bernhard and Raskin touring Innovation Park at Notre Dame, discussing the importance of having a facility that cultivates marketable innovations in an inspiring environment with access to Notre Dame research, faculty, students, and the global network of Notre Dame entrepreneurial veterans.
Bernhard, Doug Morrison of Ionic Liquid Solutions, and John A. Sejdinaj, Vice President of Finance at Notre Dame, introduce Raskin and her staff to one of the laboratory spaces at Innovation Park at Notre Dame. The facility provides secured wet and dry laboratory space to start-ups, as well as a shared laboratory, which includes a comprehensive suite of analytical and preparation instrumentation that allows businesses within the facility to evaluate sensitive research samples.
During the visit, Raskin presented a copy of President Barack Obama’s April 29th proclamation declaring National Small Business Week 2016 to Greg Davis in recognition of the success of Aunalytics, a start-up based on research and technologies developed at the University of Notre Dame.
