The Notre Dame Nanoscience and Technology (NDnano) center promotes collaborative research in science and engineering to address unsolved scientific and technical questions with an aim to promote the greater good. At the University of Notre Dame, NDnano supports advances in imaging and characterization, multi-physics modeling, synthesis, growth, and nanofabrication, which enables breakthroughs across all science and engineering disciplines.
Led by Alan Seabaugh, Frank M. Freimann Professor of Electrical Engineering, NDnano brings together Notre Dame faculty, researchers, and students to broaden understanding, discuss multidisciplinary research opportunities, and shape future research directions. Additionally, NDnano administers the University’s Materials Science and Engineering doctoral program, a distinctive, interdisciplinary program representing seven departments and programs in the Colleges of Engineering and Science.
