What is the anthropology major like at Notre Dame?
“You study human biology, human evolution, human behavior, language and culture — so many different aspects of what it means to be a human,” said Noemi Toroczkai, anthropology major at Notre Dame.

Anthropology majors pursue their passions while developing skills such as critical engagement, data analysis, empathy, and holistic perspective.
After graduation, students go on to top graduate and professional schools and work in a variety of professions and industries. First jobs include:
- Account executive, Xerox
- Research technician, Boise State University
- Business management associate, General Mills
- Analyst, Goldman Sachs
- Human resources associate, Eli Lilly and Co.
“In most occupations, they're looking for people with a wide set of skills and perhaps a different way of approaching problems,” said anthropology major Clay Jaskowski. “Anthropology gives you the basis to do that, and gives you the set of skills to do that. When you understand people and understand society, that opens the door for so many things.”
