Biography
Cesar Bernal joined Notre Dame in 2025 as an IRB Program Manager. He collaborates with the research community to ensure compliance with University research policies and procedures, as well as federal and state regulations governing research. Cesar holds both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Philosophy, with academic interests focused on the intersections of science, philosophy, and ethics. Prior to joining Notre Dame, he served as a Senior IRB Analyst at the University of Texas at Austin, where he worked in research compliance.
