Emily Stoler

Biography

Emily is the Researcher Liaison Manager at the University of Notre Dame’s IDEA Center. Emily leads the relationship management team, facilitating the commercialization of University research. Leveraging her expertise in science and business, she builds strong connections and provides strategic support to researchers throughout the innovation process. She serves as the primary contact for researchers focused on life science innovations, Keough School, and the College of Arts & Letters.

Emily's career blends deep scientific research with strategic business acumen. During her Master of Science degree at the University of Notre Dame, she developed innovative techniques for measuring metabolites in complex solutions, utilizing capillary electrophoresis combined with surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS).

At the IDEA Center, she initially served as the Risk Assessment Program Manager, conducting market research to facilitate the commercialization of faculty research. Prior to her work at Notre Dame, Emily gained valuable experience in the environmental protection sector, working with landfills, wastewater, and water treatment facilities.

Emily is also a committed advocate for women in underrepresented fields, including STEM, innovation, and commercialization, and is very active with Thrive, an employee resource group at ND.

Emily earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences from Grand Valley State University, a Master of Science degree in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Notre Dame, and a Master of Business Administration from the Judd Leighton School of Business and Economics at Indiana University South Bend.
