Joshua Holewczynski

Biography

Joshua Holewczynski joined Notre Dame Research's Engineering and Design Core Facility (EDCF) in 2022. As a mechanical engineer, Josh has worked on various aspects of EDCF's design consultations - including CAD design, physical prototyping, mechanical and thermal simulations, and testing - for various disciplines both internal and external to the University. He played a vital role in the design and procurement of the cryostat subsystem on the DEIMOS upgrade project, a collaboration between Caltech Optical Observatories, W. M. Keck Observatory, and Notre Dame. Before joining NDR, Josh was a mechanical engineer with Crown Audio for nearly a decade, working closely with electrical engineers to design, test, and manufacture high-powered audio amplifiers. He earned a B.S. in Mathematics at Marian University before going on to earn his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University.
