Patrick W. Deegan

Biography

Patrick Deegan joined Notre Dame Research in 2019 as Advisor to the Vice President for Research. He supports the development and implementation of Research’s strategic engagements and acts as a liaison to the vice president. Deegan originally joined Notre Dame in 2015 and most recently served as the associate director of the Liu Institute for Asia and Asian Studies. Previously he developed Asia programs at Cornell University and the University of Oregon. Deegan received his B.A. in religion from the University of Iowa and an M.A. in art history from the University of California, Riverside. He worked toward a Ph.D. in art history at the University of California, San Diego.
