Biography

Stanley Zee joined the University of Notre Dame in early 2024, assuming the role of Managing Principal for the Pit Road Fund. In addition, he currently serves as the Director of Ventures and Strategic External Relations, overseeing the management and establishment of new partnerships aimed at supporting the commercialization of university technology.

Before joining the IDEA Center, Stanley served as the Venture Acceleration Manager at MATTER, a leading digital health startup incubator and corporate accelerator in Chicago. In this role, he mentored early-stage startups, helping them refine their business models, connect with investors, and navigate the complexities of fundraising. He worked closely with founders, corporate partners, and venture capital firms to accelerate the growth of innovative digital health solutions.

Stanley began his career at Molex, a subsidiary of Koch Industries, in Sales and Marketing, managing accounts across the automotive, industrial, and datacom/telecom sectors. He was later promoted to Molex Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of Molex, where he played a key role in overseeing the investment portfolio and executing deals for early-stage strategic investments. During his tenure, he worked closely with portfolio companies to foster partnerships and integration with Molex’s various business units.

Stanley holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and a Master of Science in Finance from Georgetown University.
