Notre Dame Research Administration and Compliance (NDRAC) helps ensure its faculty and staff understand and are in compliance with the complex web of regulatory training requirements that govern research.

 

Responsible Conduct Training                                          

Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) training is required for undergraduates, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows who receive National Science Foundation (NSF) or National Institutes of Health (NIH) funds.  Effective July 31, 2023, Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) training is also required for faculty and other senior personnel who will be supported by NSF to conduct research.

 

Conflict of Interest Training

The Department of Energy, the National Institute of Health, and other Public Health Service federal funding agencies, require that all Prinicpal Investigators and Senior/Key Personnel complete Conflict of Interest training prior to expending project funds.

 

Research Security and International Activities

Researchers at all stages are encouraged to educate themselves on guidelines for international collaboration and scholarship. Adequate understanding by the research community helps preserve and strengthen the research reputation of the University and to protect important work from unwarranted scrutiny.
