Book Cover: Family Unfriendly by Timothy P. Carney

Join us for a lunch presentation with author Tim Carney (American Enterprise Institute) on the subject of his latest book, Family Unfriendly: How Our Culture Made Raising Kids Much Harder Than It Needs To Be (HarperCollins, 2024).

Family Unfriendly documents Carney's attempt to answer two simple questions: Why is parenting so hard now? And why are the results so bad? Drawing on three years of research and interviews with parents and experts alike, the bestselling author of Alienated America argues that misguided notions of parenting have set unrealistic standards for modern families and set up both parents and children to fail.

Carney is a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, where he works on civil society, family, localism, religion in America, economic competition, and electoral politics. He is concurrently a senior columnist at the Washington Examiner

Lunch provided, no RSVP necessary.
