On Friday, August 16 at 12:00 noon, the Institute for Scholarship in the Liberal Arts will host a one-hour, virtual workshop on research funding designed exclusively for untenured scholars (including TPAC-RL faculty, assistant professors, staff, and postdoctoral fellows). This event will focus on the arts, humanities, and social sciences, but scholars affiliated with any school, college, or center at the University of Notre Dame as of fall 2024 are welcome to attend.

This workshop will cover:

  • Types of funding available to support research and sponsored activity

  • Specific internal and external grants and fellowships that support the work of untenured scholars

  • How to read solicitations and prepare competitive applications

  • Resources and support available to Notre Dame scholars applying for funding

Following a short presentation, the remainder of the allotted time will be devoted to a question-and-answer session.
