Ph.D. candidate Ashabari Majumdar advised by Freimann Professor of Physics Ani Aprahamian and Associate Research Professor Khachatur Manukyan won the best poster award at the Annual Midwest Imaging and Microanalysis Workshop on May 11, 2022. Leading experts in electron microscopy from different universities as well as companies participated in this workshop which was organized by the Notre Dame Integrated Imaging Facility. Dr. Manukyan and Majumdar were also invited to deliver a talk on ion irradiation effects on UO2 thin films prepared by solution combustion synthesis method at this workshop. This work was published in ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces in 2021.
