ND Physics & Astronomy postdocs dominate first COS Lightning Talk Competition

On Thursday, September 22, the first College of Science Postdoc Lightning Talk Competition was held in Jordan Hall of Science. There were 10 participants in the final round representing the Departments of Biological Sciences, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Mathematics, and Physics and Astronomy. The Department of Physics and Astronomy dominated the competition with third and first place finishers. Thank you to all of the faculty, staff, students, and postdocs who came to support the speakers. The event was a success, and we look forward to next year. Congratulations to the top three winners:

  • 2nd Alex Meyer, Biological Sciences
  • 1st Eckhart Spalding, Physics and Astronomy
