Biography
Ben Tovar joined the Center for Research Computing (CRC) in 2023 as a Senior DevOps Engineer. Ben is responsible for designing and implementing systems, tools, and algorithms to allow scientific computations to run at scale. Ben graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a PhD in Computer Science. Before joining the CRC, Ben worked at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Notre Dame, developing open source tools for large-scale high-throughput computing.
