Jessica Mikels

Biography

Jessica Mikels joined the Center for Broader Impacts in the spring of 2024 as an evaluation specialist. Jessica has over 20 years of experience in research and evaluation with an emphasis on social psychological and socio-cultural approaches to program planning and evaluation. She prioritizes the importance of logic model construction and uncovering theoretical assumptions in her evaluation work. Before coming to CBI, Jessica worked as an environmental sociology contractor, both independently and with DJ Case & Associates, working with federal, state, and not-for-profit environmental organizations on socio-environmental research, project planning, and evaluation. Jessica holds a PhD and MA in Sociology from The University of Notre Dame, an MA in Anthropology from The University of Oklahoma, and a BA in Anthropology from The University of Kansas.
