Biography
Mackenzie Young currently serves as the Student Team Event Coordinator under the IDEA Center's Student Entrepreneurship and Student Engagement Teams, and has been with the University in this role for the past two years. In her role, she works extensively to plan and execute the annual McCloskey New Venture Competition, plan events rooted in innovation and entrepreneurship, and works to promote student engagement with the IDEA Center office primarily through the IDEA Center Fellows program.
She graduated from Indiana University - Bloomington in 2019 with a B.A in Journalism with a concentration in Broadcast Journalism and specializations in News Editing and Reporting. She received a minor in Criminal Justice. After college, Mackenzie went on to become a News Producer at ABC57, where she was a two-time Edward Murrow Winner and made major contributions to an Emmy-nominated newscast.
When not working, she can be found completing nature hikes and bird watching with her cat Rasmey, reading, and spending time with her close friends and family.
