Mya Sherman

Biography

Mya Sherman joined Notre Dame Research in 2026 as an IRB Reliance and Quality Assurance Program Manager. In her role, she works collaboratively with the Notre Dame research community to ensure research aligns with University policies and regulatory standards. Prior to joining Notre Dame, Mya worked in IRB administration at the University of Virginia and the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. She has a Master’s of Arts degree in Geography from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and a Master’s of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Loyola University New Orleans. Mya’s academic interests include community-based participatory research, mental health, qualitative methodologies, and research ethics.
