Biography

Verodia Charlestin is the Tissue Biorepository Program Coordinator at the Harper Cancer Research Institute. In her role, she integrates tissue collection processes into the workflows of hospitals and physician offices. This involves coordinating surgery schedules, engaging with patients to obtain informed consent, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and documentation requirements. Additionally, she assists with sample transport, laboratory work, and the ongoing expansion of biorepository partnerships with various hospitals to establish a comprehensive tissue biorepository aimed at advancing cancer research. She graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Nutritional Science. In 2023, she graduated from the University of Notre Dame with her PhD, where her thesis work focused on breast cancer progression and metastasis in the context of metabolism.
