Conflict of Interest

The University of Notre Dame is committed to maintaining the highest standards of compliance for Conflict of Interest. The University, and Notre Dame Research, actively work to identify and avoid situations and activities that constitute a Conflict of Interest, including activities, situations, or relationships that might create the potential for, or perception of, a Conflict of Interest.

The Department of Energy, the National Institute of Health, and other Public Health Service federal funding agencies, require that all Prinicpal Investigators and Senior/Key Personnel complete Conflict of Interest training prior to expending project funds. The training can be completed online via the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI), a consortium of universities that provides convenient and comprehensive online training modules, for all faculty, graduate students, and post-doctoral scholars.
